10 DAYS OF PRAYER & FASTING
DAY 3
Leadership with integrity
Pause & Reflect
As Christians, we are to live in a fine balance; standing for that which is true while seeking unity amongst ourselves whenever possible, standing firm in the faith while showing grace to those who do not, holding our leaders accountable while praying for their wisdom and well-being. Our tendency can be to be drawn to the politics we identify with and see that as God’s will and expect everyone to agree with us. However, we are to be those who stand in the gap, who lift up our nation with all it favours and faults before the throne of God, and pray that He continues to work in our midst –Adapted Crosswalks.com
BIBLE
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 NIV
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
Romans 13:1 NIV
PRAY
- For the prosperity of this nation, when it prospers we prosper (Jeremiah 29:7)
- For wisdom and integrity over those who lead this nation
- For guidance for those who make decisions over our community
- For those who lead our educational institutions to be led by God
- For servant leadership over our Church and all its ministries. May they be filled with humility, innovation and energy for the work of God
- For respectful & loving leadership in our homes, may they always be a place of safety.
