Heart for the Gospel

Pause & Reflect

The power of God has never left His word; it is just that we have prevented it from reaching its intended destination. The more we ‘feast’ and partake of the word of God, the ‘fatter’ we get; and without releasing it to our neighbours and friends, the more slothful and content we become. E’yen A. Gardner, Break Free

Our primary mission as followers of Jesus Christ is the gospel. The aim of justification is to make us right with God, the aim of sanctification is to make us more like Jesus, the work of the Holy Spirit is to help us live a justified life as we become more like Jesus so we can tell others about the differences Jesus has made to us and the difference He can make to them.

If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ who is the exact likeness of God.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4

  • Pray that the Lord of the harvest will release labourers into His harvest field
  • Pray that the lies that have hardened the heart of the church to share the gospel will be broken and God’s people will be revitalised for mission
  • Pray that the cultural, spiritual, emotional and mental veil stopping people from seeing the light of Christ will be lifted and shifted in 2023
  • Pray that this would be a year of breakthrough for family and friends to encounter Jesus

We will meet every evening 6-7pm at the ElimCentre to worship and pray together.

Would be great to see as many of us there as possible
