There is so much we should be thanking God for in regards to the church, we just need to make sure we get our perspectives right. What we focus on will affect our vision and it would be true to say that there are spiritual forces that will seek to shift our focus onto all that is negative in the church rather than what God has called the church to be or is turning the church into. The church because of its union with Jesus Christ is blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm. It is those blessings that we need to be thankful for and shape our lives around.

As we begin our day of fasting and prayer, we want to be full of gratitude and thanksgiving for God’s church. God’s trust in the church, the wisdom he has bestowed on the church, the gifts that enable the church and the fact that Jesus remains the head of the church and calls us into a love relationship with the Father, with himself and into a fellowship with the Holy Spirit and each other. There is so much we can be thankful for being part of the church, so let’s pray and thank God for His church.
