“Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked… But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”
Psalm 1:1-3 NLT
It is not enough to simply Reset by declining the pervasive advice of the wicked in our culture. Nor is it enough to Refresh momentarily. True Flourishing is a process of deep commitment. It requires us to intentionally plant ourselves on the riverbank—the place where we delight in and meditate on God’s Word day and night. The danger lies in drifting away from this foundational truth after the initial reset and refresh. Let us wholeheartedly engage with this truth, rooting down deeply so we may bear consistent fruit and become a perpetual source of blessing to others.
Today, we pray for a renewed passion for the Word, asking God to cement our roots firmly by the streams of His truth.
