One day, a huge army came to attack, and all the regular soldiers got scared and ran away. But a warrior named Eleazar refused to move. He stood his ground and fought so hard and for so long that his hand got tired and literally cramped around the handle of his sword. His hand and his weapon became like one thing! Eleazar teaches us what super-stamina looks like: staying glued to what is right, even if everyone else runs away.
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that… you may be able to stand your ground.”
Ephesians 6:13

How to pray: “Lord, let my mind be ‘frozen’ to the Sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. Help me to memorize Your promises so tightly that no matter what anyone else says at school or on the playground, I stand on Your truth.”
How to pray: “God, give me the strength to step out of the scared crowd. Give me honor-driven faith so that even if I am the only one standing up for someone being bullied, or the only one choosing to obey You, I will stand firm.”
