THE MAJESTY OF JESUS

1 Crown him with many crowns, the Lamb upon his throne.

Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own.

Awake, my soul, and sing of him who died for thee,

and hail him as thy matchless king through all eternity.

2 Crown him the Lord of life, who triumphed o’er the grave,

and rose victorious in the strife for those he came to save;

his glories now we sing who died and rose on high,

who died eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die.

3 Crown him the Lord of love; behold his hands and side,

rich wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified;

no angels in the sky can fully bear that sight,

but downward bends their burning eyes at mysteries so bright.

4 Crown him the Lord of years, the potentate of time,

creator of the rolling spheres, ineffably sublime.

All hail, Redeemer, hail! for thou hast died for me;

thy praise shall never, never fail throughout eternity

The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honour at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names. Hebrews 1:3-4

In our prayers today we want to reflect on the majesty of Jesus and how he is above all things. May God give us the grace to see Jesus as he truly is.,

6am – 9am

Session One – WORSHIP JESUS

And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang: “Blessing and honour and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.” And the four living beings said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshipped the Lamb. Revelations 5:13-14

Session Two – LISTEN TO JESUS

One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him. Matthew 4:18-20
