10 DAYS OF PRAYER & FASTING

Day 10 : LIVING FRUITFULLY FOR GOD’S GLORY

BIBLE

Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5

REFLECT

The earth and the cosmos belong to God; He has only loaned them to humanity for a brief time. The true art of flourishing comes from knowing the Owner’s rules and designs and committing ourselves fully to His plans. Jesus’ metaphor is stark and simple: He is the Vine, and we are the branches. If a branch is broken off, its life is numbered—it loses the Vine’s protection and nourishment, and death quickly follows. Jesus’ promise is that those who remain (abide) in Him will become abundantly productive. Therefore, if this new year is to be a truly fruitful year, it must be lived in active, dedicated partnership with Jesus. Apart from Him, we can do nothing of eternal value.

PRAYER FOCUS

Today, we focus on surrender and abiding, ensuring our life-source remains anchored in Christ the Vine.

  • Thankful Abiding: Thank God for Jesus, the Vine, and for the extraordinary privilege of being chosen as His branches. Acknowledge the life and sustenance that flow directly from Him to you.
  • Deepening our Role: Ask God to deepen your understanding of your specific, vital role as a branch in His vineyard. Pray for the wisdom to know what needs to be pruned and what needs to be nurtured for maximum yield.
  • Dedicated Partnership: Pray that this year will be characterized by a dedicated, intentional commitment to remaining in Christ—a commitment that results in tangible fruitfulness (the fruit of the Spirit and the fruit of ministry).
  • Finishing Strong: Pray that you will not shrink back from the challenges or demands of the year, but that you will receive the endurance and grace necessary to finish the race and fulfill the specific calling God has laid out for you in this new season.
