REFLECT

The Christian life is not a static destination; it is a dynamic journey of perpetual growth. The Apostle Peter’s final instruction emphasizes a twin focus: Grace and Knowledge. Grace is the divine power that changes us and enables us to live righteously; Knowledge is the understanding of who Jesus is and what He has done, which anchors our faith. To truly flourish is to actively pursue deeper intimacy with Jesus in both these dimensions, rejecting spiritual complacency and embracing the daily process of becoming more like Him. Our growth is ultimately aimed at one goal: bringing Glory to Him.

PRAYER FOCUS

Let us pray for exponential growth this year, moving beyond stagnation and into spiritual maturity.

  • Cultivating Grace: Pray specifically for areas where you feel weak or tempted. Ask God to increase His transforming Grace in your life, enabling you to overcome habitual sins and live out the faith He has given you.
  • Deepening Knowledge: Pray for the Holy Spirit to open your mind to a greater understanding of Scripture and of Jesus Christ Himself. Ask for the discipline to study and learn, turning information into life-changing revelation.
  • Rejecting Complacency: Confess any spiritual laziness or satisfaction with the status quo. Pray for a holy hunger that drives you to seek more of God and to reject the temptation to coast in your faith journey.
  • Flourishing to Glory: Pray that this intentional growth in grace and knowledge will result in a life that truly magnifies Jesus in your home, workplace, and community, bringing glory to His name both today and in the future.
