Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20
REFLECTION
God only needed a little bit of oil and a commitment from the mother to provide for her needs. He only needed the woman to be insistent and he raised her son and he only needed a small bit of bread to provide more for the crowd. God loves to partner with his people and show himself strong on their behalf. In truth God was just being God in all of these situations but from a human perspective they appear as miracles. The same God who did all those miracles remains the same God today.
QUOTES
And Elisha said, “Borrow as many empty jars as you can from your friends and neighbors. Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled.” 2 King 4:3-4

In this session we want to

Be grateful for having God in our lives
MEDITATE
When Elijah asked the widow, ‘what do you have in the house?’ she responded with brutal honesty, ‘nothing but a flask of oil’. It is always good to know what we have and do not have when we approach God for help. So what do you have in your life and home and what do you need God to do?
