Have you ever heard people say things like ‘why me’ when something bad happens in their lives? The question is why not you or me? Life is full of battles we all need to fight and from a spiritual perspective the bible tells us that ‘The thief (evil forces) comes to steal, kill and destroy…
In our story Goliath does not care about the people of Israel, all he wants to do is destroy and enslave them “Choose one man to come down here and fight me! 9If he kills me, then we will be your slaves. But if I kill him, you will be our slaves! 10I defy the armies of Israel today! Send me a man who will fight me!”
We need to wake up to the truth that we are in a spiritual battle and those who are against us do not care one bit about our wellbeing but will rather see us shipwreck all that God has for us.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
- Pray that through God you’ll be aware of the battle you are in
- Pray for clarity
- Pray for understanding
- Pray for strength
- Pray for an awareness of who the enemy is

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
